Amongst all the violence and car chase scenes; the importance of family was woven throughout the film.

There was a lot of action and suspense, however the movie got a little long, the ending dragged on!

    Sexual Content:Mild

    • During the race car scenes, woman were shown wearing very little; while dancing and entertaining the crowd.
    • There were a few sexual references; one about a male’s body part, and another about liking rough sex.

    Violent Content: Excessive

    • There were punches, fist fights, character’s pushed against walls, explosions and gun shots throughout the entire movie.
    • There were race scenes and car chases.  We saw vehicles rolled over and completely destroyed; with a lot of casualties.
    • We saw characters jumping from one car to another, while racing.
    • Two woman got into a fierce battle. They pounded one another, and wrestled on the ground.

    Crude or Profane Language: Excessive

    • The f-word was said once. “Sh-t,” “d–n,” “a–,” “b–ch,”  “h–l,” “b–tard” and “p—y,” were said throughout the film. I lost count there were so many!

    Drugs and Alcohol Content: Mild

    • Characters were shown drinking beer and wine in several scenes.

    Will Kids Like It? Yes

Overall this is an action packed movie that most kids will like. Parents need to be aware of the excessive violent content and profane language. Depending on the child, Fast & Furious 6 is appropriate for kids ages 12 and up.

The only problem was, her father was very preoccupied. He was obsessed with the idea that there was a kingdom of tiny people living in the forest behind his house. He had dozens of cameras throughout the area; he was so determined to find the little creatures, that was his goal in life. Continue reading

    Talking Points:

I’m not a Trekkie, but I am a Chris Pine fan. I liked the great one-liners woven throughout the film.

Amongst all the violence there were some touching elements. Themes of loyalty to family and friends were portrayed.

    Sexual Content: Mild

    • We see Kirk in bed with two female aliens.
    • We saw a character in just her bra and panties, so did Kirk.

    Violent Content: Excessive

    • The evil villain Khan, blows up a building.
    • We saw Khan crush a man’s skull with his hands.
    • There are numerous explosions, fights and punches throughout the film;  leaving character’s bloody and bruised.

    Crude or Profane Language: Mild

    • We heard the s-word, also  “a–,” “—ch,” “b–tard,” “d–n,” and “h–.”

    Drugs and Alcohol Content: Mid

    • We saw character’s drinking at a bar.

    Will Kids Like It? Yes

Overall this is an action packed, adventurous film. Trekkie’s will most likely enjoy seeing their favorite characters. I recommend this for kids ages 12 and up. Parents need to be aware of the violent content throughout the film.
