The Secret Life of Pets 2- Kids’ Movie Review
Most people have their morning routines which probably includes feeding the dog, crabbing a cup of coffee, and heading out the door – while their pets stay at home. But what are the pets doing when their humans aren’t home? The Secret Life of Pets 2 continues to follow the story of a dog named Max. However, in this film Max’s owner gets married and has a baby, so now Max has a whole new set of concerns. There is also a subplot which includes the the bunny Snowball (Kevin Hart) and a new dog, Daisy (Tiffany Haddish). This duo is trying to rescue an abused tiger from a Russian circus. All these beloved pets aren’t just snuggled in their crates while their owners are out…they’re hitting the town and getting into some trouble. Secret Life of Pets 2 is the sequel to the 2016 animated comedy.

Dumbo-Kids’ Movie Review
Max Medici (Danny Divito) is a struggling circus owner. He sold all his horses and doesn’t have the show stopper that he needs to appeal to the crowds. However, when he enlists war veteran Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his two children to take care of a baby elephant, things dramatically change. The elephant, eventually named Dumbo, is born with enormous, floppy ears, and Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly. The flying elephant becomes famous and draws attention to an entrepreneur who wants Dumbo to become apart of his new amusement park. Dumbo is Tim Burton’s live-action film based on Disney’s 1941 film about the beloved flying elephant.

- During a performance, Dumbo is surrounded by fire. This is an intense and scary scene.
- One of the Dreamland attractions, Nightmare Island, is very dark and creepy. We see werewolf’s, bears and alligators making scary noises.

Wonder Park-Kids’ Movie Review
Albert Einstein once said that, “Imagination is more important than knowledge,” and June Bailey (voice of Brianna Denski) definitely has an a wonderful imagination. June is a very creative young girl who loves to spend time with her mom (voice of Jennifer Garner) creating an imaginary theme park that she calls Wonderland. In her mind she has created amazing new rides and various theme park characters. June’s life dramatically changes the day she comes across a theme park in the woods…called Wonderland. Initially Jane is preoccupied with the chaos of the park as hordes of “chimpanzombies” are destroying it. Now it’s up to June and her beloved park characters to use their imagination and save the park!

Wonder Park is an entertaining, animated film with beautiful colors and whimsical characters. However, the film has some very dark and intense moments as the main character’s mother is suffering from an illness.

- Steve the porcupine and Greta the warthog flirt with one another. He says, ” I burn for you, baby.” She says, “I think you’re cute.” She kisses him.

- Chimpanzombies attack June and her friends using swords and axes.
- Chaos ensues in the park when rides turn into robots.
- A huge storm cloud sucks pieces of the park into it.
- There are intense scenes when characters are riding the big roller coasters.
- June’s mom has a serious illness. When she has to leave for treatment, that depresses and scares June.

Mary Poppins Returns-Kids Movie Review
She flies through the air on a kite, has a talking umbrella, and is the best nanny around. Her name is Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt). Set in the 1930’s, Mary Poppins returns to Cherry Tree Lane, however this time she comes to take care of Michael Banks’ (now an adult) three children. Michael (Ben Whishaw) is going through a hard time as his wife had recently passed away and now his house is getting repossessed. Mary Poppins comes back to save the day and add a little fun and adventure for the beloved Banks’ family. Mary Poppins Returns is a sequel to the 1964 classic Mary Poppins.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms-Kids Movie Review
“Give me that key,” says Clara (Mackenzie Foy) to a creepy little mouse in a beautiful snow filled forest. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is the story of a young girl who is on a mission to find a key to unlock a cherished gift she receives from her recently deceased mother. The gift is an ornate metallic egg that requires a key to open it. The message on the egg says, “To my beautiful Clara: Everything you need is inside. Love, Mother.” Determined to find the key, Clara mysteriously is transported to a magical world called the Four Realms. In this new world she encounters a soldier named Phillip, a gang of mice, and leaders of three of the four Realms. Clara eventually learns that she must go to the scary Fourth Realm, ruled by tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to obtain her key. She also learns that by retrieving the key she could bring peace to the chaotic and war torn Realm world. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is Disney’s live adaptation based on the classic Christmas ballet.
