    Talking Points:

The movie demonstrates that in the tech savvy world we live in today, people skills are still an asset in life; though it’s become a lost art. The group of interns worked as a team, they each contributed their own  gifts whether it be computer skills or people skills.

Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) stress to the college interns that even though you’ll have ups and downs in life; with hard work and determination you’ll have a good chance to succeed!!!

A character who works at a nursing home makes mean comments about Alzheimer’s, and the elderly people living in the home.

    Sexual Content: Moderate

    • Billy and Nick take their team of interns to a dance club, which ends up being a strip club.  We see women dancing in revealing outfits. One of the boys receives three lap dances; after each dance we see him in the restroom drying off his pants.
    • It’s implied that two character’s had a sexual encounter.
    • There are sexual references woven throughout the film. Jokes include male body parts, sexual positions, sexting and breast implants.
    • There’s a cameo of Will Ferrell working as a mattress salesman. He says that, “back door” sex has changed his life.

    Violent Content: Mild

    • We see a fight in the strip club.

    Crude or Profane Language: Excessive

    • The f-word is said once. We hear “sh-t,” “a–,” “h–l,” “b–ch,” “d–n,” “d–k” and “p—y,”  throughout the whole film.

    Drugs and Alcohol Content: Moderate

    • Characters are shown drinking beer, wine and tequila shots.
    • We see characters extremely drunk and vomiting the next day.

    Will Kids Like It? Yes

Overall The Internship is an entertaining movie, one that pre-teens and teenagers will enjoy. However, parents need to be aware of the sexual content and profane language throughout the film.
