The Impossible – Kids Movie Review
At first I didn’t want to see this movie, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. The Impossible centers around the lives of one family and their fight for survival during the 2004 Thailand tsuanmi. Henry (Ewan McGregor), his wife Maria (Naomi Watts), and their three sons were at a beautiful Thailand resort over Christmas vacation. The sun was shining as Maria was lounging by the pool, while Henry and the boys were playing in the water. What started out to be the perfect vacation, changed within minutes. The blender at the poolside bar stopped working, the wind began to blow, and the palm trees started to shake as a 90- foot wave came crashing over everything. Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, this is a powerful story about love, redemption and forgiveness; a story that will make you laugh and cry, and one you will not want to forget. Continue reading

Lincoln – Teen Moview Review
Sixteenth president of the United States from 1861 to 1865, leader of the Union during the Civil War, dedicated husband/father, and a wonderful man referred to as “honest Abe.” Lincoln chronicles President Abraham Lincoln’s final months in office. We see his fierce determination to end the civil war and abolish slavery. We see his personnel struggles and the difficulties he had to face while pursuing his heartfelt goals as president. Lincoln is a dramatic war film, one that mature teenagers and adults will enjoy.
